# Installation

Follow these steps to install The Floor Is Lava Setup on your server:

### Step 1: Download

Download the setup from the [resource page](https://builtbybit.com/resources/the-floor-is-lava-setup-modern-series.79788/).

### Step 2: Extract

Unarchive the downloaded file to your computer.

### Step 3: Prepare Files

Open the **"SETUP FILES"** folder from the extracted content.

### Step 4: Archive

Archive (zip) the contents inside the "SETUP FILES" folder.

### Step 5: Upload & Extract

Upload the archived file to your online server host's home/root directory and unarchive it.

### Step 6: Install Required Plugins

Download and install the following plugins from the [Dependencies section](https://builtbybit.com/resources/the-floor-is-lava-setup-modern-series.79788/field?field=dependencies):

* **The Floor Is Lava** - [Download](https://builtbybit.com/resources/thefloorislava.19159/) (Paid)
* **TAB** (Free)

Place them in the `plugins/` folder.

### Step 7: Start Server

Start the server with **Java 21** on **Paper 1.21.8** or a compatible fork.

⚠️ **Important:** Make sure both dependencies are installed before starting the server.
